Zeiger Garrett Three Oaks Wedding
During this pandemic, weddings have been few and far between. Some couples were forced to call theirs off completely while others found ways of making them smaller, more intimate gatherings.
So, it was incredibly refreshing and exciting to be able to shoot this beautiful winter wedding (with safety measures in place, of course!) for Jessica Zeiger and Stanton Garrett.
The ceremony was held inside Real Life Community Church, and, as you can see, there was no shortage of winter beauty flowing throughout the sanctuary. With snow on the ground outside, the bride certainly pulled off the look of a ‘snow princess’ - like something out of a Disney movie!
The beautiful dark, subtle colors of the dresses worked incredibly well with the overall theme, and the ceremony itself was one full of love, happiness, and devotion to one another and a relationship centered on Christ.
There’s always something so fun and exciting about little “hidden details,” and I was thrilled to learn about some of the family heirlooms that were included in the ceremony, including a pocket watch from the groom’s grandfather, a button on the bride’s shawl from her grandmother, and a ring in the bride’s bouquet that has been used for several weddings within the family passed down from her mother’s side. They definitely had the “something old, new, borrowed and blue” down - and then some! Tradition and family was an important theme, with the couple even having their parents’ and grandparents’ wedding photos displayed at the reception - love, everywhere you looked!
One of the highlights of this wedding was the horse-drawn sleigh ride the couple took through Three Oaks. It definitely fit perfectly with the winter backdrop, and once more made the entire day feel like a fairytale! It’s not every day you see a horse and sleigh trotting through town.
The reception was held at Pebblewood Country Club, and once again was decorated beautifully; an indoor winter wonderland - complete with a hot chocolate bar!
Between heartfelt speeches, beautiful scenery, and lots of dancing, this was a great way to get back into weddings, and proved that there is truly a light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to this pandemic. This lovely couple was able to surround themselves with friends and family, and do it safely, so everyone could be a part of their special day. It was a pleasure to shoot.
I can’t wait to start seeing more weddings and events this summer - we all deserve some celebrating!
